Who Am I?

Jigger Jenkins - The President

1st cricket memory: Watching the great Surrey side of the ‘50s at the Oval

Top cricket moment: Seeing Jim Laker get 19 wickets at Old Trafford live on TV

Low cricket moment: Watching Hampshire lose to Canada in the West Indies T20

Who influenced me most: My prep school cricket coach, Bill Dirby and for the last 15
years Alan Rowe

Sporting heroes: Douglas Jardine, Mohammed Ali, Roger Federer

Best Music: Ravel’s Bolero, Dr Hook, American Pie

Favourite food: Custard, Hot Fois Gras

Favourite Drink: Coffee, white Burgundy

My Luxury: Comfortable cars

Charlie Cooke - Club Wicketkeeper

1st cricket memory: At the first school I went to after we had moved out of London. I didn’t know anything about cricket and was passionate about football. I went to a cricket camp at Cheam school and amongst the coaching staff was Grant Flower and I think Andy too who were working as grounds staff at the school. That week got me hooked.

Top cricketing moment: Getting the top wicket keeping award last season is up there
but probably getting my first hundred when I was out playing in Australia.

Worst moment: was getting two golden ducks in consecutive weeks for St Cross

Two people have influenced me hugely: My coach when I was between 11 and 13. He was Australian and was the most enthusiastic man about cricket. And Allan Willows who coached me at school because he has really taught my everything I know about the game and his energy for the game was infectious (although he talked a lot of rubbish too).

Sporting heroes: Gianfranco Zola, Tiger Woods, Kevin Pietersen.

Best Music: Mumford and Sons, DJ Adam K, The Sunbeat Revival

Favourite Food: Pizza, Mum’s Roast Beef

Malcolm Berryman - Junior Chairman

1st cricket memory: being run out for 0 in a school match at about the age of 8 without facing a ball.

Top cricket moment: Firstly (end August 1993) winning the (then) Hampshire League Division 1 and the (then) Echo Trophy 20/20 in the same weekend for Liphook (I retired straight after!) and secondly every time I get the chance to see Adam and Steven play and enjoy themselves on a cricket pitch (I hope all our junior parents feel the same!)

Lowest cricket moment: ... see above

Who influenced me most: ... obviously my wife, Lorna (was this a trick question?) ... and as we learn all the time ... I guess it would be anyone with a passion, focus and commitment to try and be as good as they can be ... whether on or off a sports field!

Sporting heroes: Tiger Woods, Nigel Twiston- Davies and Brian Clough

Best music: it varies from day to day but it would be very surprising if they weren’t all by Bruce
Springsteen and the E Street Band!

Favourite food:  Curries and chillis

Mike Adams - Chairman

1st cricket memory: Ken Barrington never  getting out. Wanting to play aged 5.

Top cricket moment: FP final at Lords 2009

Low cricket moment: Any time Garfield Sobers got out
